Today was a day at the capitol with Mississippi Legislature Black Caucus, Black Voters Matter, One Voice, Southern Echo, NAACP and many other organizations from across the state. Robert G. Clark was the first Black person elected to the Mississippi Legislature since Reconstruction that push for democratic voting process. The speakers reminded us that we are still fighting for voting rights and if our democracy is threaten, we must fight harder. Our work is not finished and we need to continue to register voters and remind them to show up at the polls on election day. Our vote matters if we show up.
